Dealing with idiosyncrasies, errors and glitches in printers. As a way of embracing the printer glitch and its special language, the waste printouts from a HP Laser Jet 1320n, a Cannon IP4600, and a Mimaki TX2-1600 have been collected, cut up and reassembled.

Cut-up

Cut-up is a literary technique in which a piece of text is cut up and remixed to create a new text.

Assemblage

Assemblage is the process of bringing found, often banal, objects together to form a two- or three-dimensional construction. In an assemblage the objects used retain their original identity and history. Joins between them are not hidden - the mechanics of the finished piece’s construction are seen.
